Ariel the Survivor

Sitting alone in a sushi bar, stuffing my face with pieces of sushi when I heard a couple of young guys sitting next to me were talking about Ariel. They are definitely out-dated, Ariel's case is long gone (2 or 3 years ago), shadowed by his booming new albums now.
But that's exactly one thing they were complaining about. Saying, how could he actually go out to the public, sing and perform again, after the shameful case.
Those guys were calling him names "muka badak, muka tembok, engga tahu malu, menjijikkan"
Well, by their sarcastic tones, I am pretty sure both have seen his sex video. I haven't, I never wanted to. But I think those guys are super intimidated by Ariel performance, on and off the stage.

I disagree that Ariel should hide himself cos of the sex-video scandal. It's his own privacy thing, if he is about to flash himself in public, it's his choice. And it's our choice to stare or to look away from it.

I dunno why people kept on yapping at him saying Ariel will bring down the whole nation's morality cos of that 1 (or more) sex videos. He has served his sentence, though I think it's an unfair one: he was sued by group of audiences (aka government) who claimed their morality were stained by the videos. His partner(s) on the videos didn't sue him, they were even defending him!!!
Those who chose to watch it almost definitely have rotten morality. Those who chose not to watch it, have a little more self-control on themselves. As simple as that. There are plenty of porn sites, videos and games out there, can't blame Ariel alone for the lust of the nation.

Observing those guys sitting beside me. The sushi's raw fishes must have given them some aphrodisiac effects, they gotta be desperate to get laid. Too bad, they can only blame Ariel for their lack of luck and their bulges' inferiority; at least they have each other for the night. Have a sweet night, boys.

Thank You

Was introduced this song. I think it's a very sweet evergreen love song.
Thank you for the song :)

I've been thinking lately
'bout the time you've spent with me
and I've been wondering
if you really knew
Everybody needs someone
To help them through the maze
Did you realize my someone's you
I've been down and out and you've been there
I've been less then kind sometimes I know
I don't have to see your face to know you care
And you've been a friend to me
Thank you, for being mine forever girl
For being by my side
You know I love you
And I need you too.. Thank you
Sometimes when its late at night
And everything is cold
I think about you and I feel warm inside
Maybe I've neglected you
And so it's time you told
You have helped me make it through my life
Let me say the words that you should hear
Let me say them 'till I made it clear
You're my lady
I believe that love is more than just a kiss
And you have shown me this

ช่วงที่ดีที่สุด - chûang têe dee têe sùt - the best moments

This song has been played on "repeat" mode for days. Despite my inability to understand any words of the lyrics, I still fell in love with the song.
Thanks to EL, I had  a preview of what the song actually meant.

It's amazing that I fell in love with the song without knowing its meaning, yet the song speak what i have in mind.
Damn you BOYdpod, you guys are so good.
*First, I thought it's a boyband, apparently they are no longer boys*

Btw, the lyricstranslates to something like this...
Love is easy during the happy times. But when things get rough, it's hard but memorable at the same time. These difficult times show how much two people love each other. It's just a great feeling when you look back at them to see how you could get through it. After things ended, the past memories can come and haunt you once in a while. Good memories can hurt. Bad memories can hurt even more. But it's definitely worthwhile that, once in your life, you have lived through these "best moments".

Songs in Translation

This is my friend’s “comment” about my latest craze of Thai songs.

Errr… about the fuck-ass thingy, maybe they do it, but not sure if they’d sing it.
I’ll try to find out. For this time being, I’ll enjoy the songs despite of their meanings. Thai songs are nice, k?

Ayam Den Lapeh

As a proud Padangnese, no matter where I am, I will still keep the Padang spirit. Yap, even in Bali. Here's one of the proof. I sang "Ayam Den Lapeh", one of popular Minang songs. "Ayam Den Lapeh" literary translates to My Missing Chicken ...
I sang quite well I guess, my team won 2nd prize and got a digital camera for the prize. Not too bad for a first timer, but we surely put quite an effort for it. I had a fun time that night.

For those who have no clue about the song. Please check out this youtube. You’ll get the idea of how cute and silly the song is… Hahahaha

Lucky I have my Baby

Baby... baby... my baby
This song is for you
Love you, Porkchop

(Jason)
Do you hear me,
I’m talking to you
Across the water across the deep blue ocean
Under the open sky, oh my, baby I’m trying

(Colbie)
Boy I hear you in my dreams
I feel your whisper across the sea
I keep you with me in my heart
You make it easier when life gets hard

(Both)
I’m lucky I’m in love with my best friend
Lucky to have been where I have been
Lucky to be coming home again

(Both)
They don’t know how long it takes
Waiting for a love like this
Every time we say goodbye
I wish we had one more kiss
I’ll wait for you I promise you, I will

(Both)
I’m lucky I’m in love with my best friend
Lucky to have been where I have been
Lucky to be coming home again
Lucky we’re in love every way
Lucky to have stayed where we have stayed
Lucky to be coming home someday

(Jason)
And so I’m sailing through the sea
To an island where we’ll meet
You’ll hear the music fill the air
I’ll put a flower in your hair

(Colbie)
Though the breezes through trees
Move so pretty you’re all I see
As the world keeps spinning round
You hold me right here right now

Lucky - Jason Mraz & Colbie Caillat
